About Academic Therapy Publications

Celebrating 60 Years!

Since 1965, Academic Therapy Publications and High Noon Books have provided assessments and resources for struggling readers. The late John Arena, a special-education teacher and pioneer in the field of learning disabilities, founded the company to fill a gap in information and resources for working with students who have learning disabilities. Since his death in 1989, his wife, Anna, and his son, Jim, have carried on the work of publishing tests and books to help struggling and reluctant readers engage with learning. A great many dedicated people have helped achieve that vision.

Our sincere thanks go out to our many loyal customers and employees who have made our success possible!

ATP Assessments

The ATP Assessments division offers a wide range of tests for use by speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, school psychologists, administrators, and teachers. In 2024 we introduced two new assessments: the ELCI (Early Language Communication Instrument) and the C-SEA (Classroom Sensory Environment Assessment).
