Qualification Requirements for Purchasing Assessments

Assessment sales are restricted to qualified professionals. Orders for assessments must be placed on official institutional purchase order forms or professional letterhead.

We adhere to the principles presented in the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing published by the AERA, APA, and NCME. Assessments in our catalog are for use by those who have or are under the supervision of an individual who has a minimum of a bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a closely related field.

Qualification Level A
No special qualifications required. These materials are usually informal, such as observational checklists.

At least a master's degree required, with state licensure OR certification from a professional organization (ASHA, AOTA, APA, AERA, ACA, AMA, NASP, NAN, INS) that requires formal training and experience in ethics, psychometrics, statistics, and test scoring and interpretation. Tests of perceptual, academic, and functional processes used in schools, clinics, and rehabilitation settings are of this level.

Restricted to persons with Level B qualifications and/or a doctoral degree in psychology, education, or a closely related field, with formal training and experience in ethics, psychometrics, statistics, and test scoring and interpretation. These tests are usually considered sensitive and assess intellectual and/or personality characteristics for clinical diagnostic purposes.
